Algebra 2 / Trig - We took a short quiz covering Sec. 5.1 - 5.4 in class today. No HW for Tuesday.

College Algebra - We began working on the Ch. 5 quiz, covering right triangle trig and solving triangles. HW for Tuesday - Complete the quiz at home and be prepared to turn it in to Mr. Sondgeroth at the start of the hour. Reminder: You may use your, notes, books, and/or computers to complete a take-home assessment. You may NOT receive assistance from any other human!

Frosh Geometry - We continued our discussion of special segments and centers in a triangle, focusing on the centroid (medians) and orthocenter (altitudes). HW for Tuesday - Complete the "Centers of a Triangle" review worksheet that was distributed in class today.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We discussed Sec. 5.3 and Sec. 5.4, identifying four methods that can be employed when asked to solve a quadratic equation - graphing, factoring, completing the square, and quadratic formula. No HW for Monday, other than to begin preparing for your final exam.

College Algebra - We Discussed Sec. 5.8, focusing on the Law of Cosines. HW for Monday - Complete pg. 324 #21-23 and pg. 331 #11-12. Be prepared to take an open notes quiz on Monday solving triangles (Right Triangle Trig, Law of Sines, Law of Cosines, etc.)

Frosh Geometry - We discussed Sec. 5.3, focusing on additional special segments of a triangle and their associated centers - medians/centroid and altitudes/orthocenter. HW for Monday - Complete the centers of a triangle worksheet that was distributed in class.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We discussed Sec. 5.2, focusing on graphing an quadratic function without completing the square. We also began our review of methods to employ when factoring a quadratic polynomial. HW for Friday - Complete pg. 328 #12-18 and #24-25 and pg. 331 #12-17.

College Algebra - We discussed Sec. 5.6, analyzing the ambiguous case of Law of Sines and determining when a given "triangle" can have two, one, or no solution(s). HW for Friday - Complete pg. 324 #11-16 and #18-20.

Frosh Geometry - We discussed Sec. 5.2, focusing on the incenter (angle bisectors) and circumcenter (perpendicular bisectors) of a triangle. HW for Friday - Complete pg. 311 #1-6, #12-15, and #18-19.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We discussed the 2nd part of Sec. 5.4, focusing on converting a quadratic equation from standard to vertex/graphing form by employing the process of completing the square. HW for Thursday - Complete pg. 345 #32-37.

College Algebra - We briefly discussed solving right triangles in Sec. 55. We then moved into Sec. 5.6, were we developed the Law of Sines, a process which allows us to solve SOME non-right triangles. HW for Thursday - Complete pg. 310 #30-32, 340-42, and #44 and pg. 316 #11-13.

Frosh Geometry - We used two sketchpad files to verify conjectures regarding points that lie an equal distance from the sides of an angle (angle bisector) and points that lie an equal distance from the endpoints of a segment (perpendicular bisector). HW for Thursday - Complete pg. 304 #1-6 and #12-16.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We discussed Sec. 5.1, focusing on basic quadratics functions and their parabolic graphs. HW for Wednesday - Complete pg. 266 #17-23.

College Algebra - We discussed Sec. 5.2 and 5.4, focusing on the 6 basic trig functions as they apply to right triangles. HW for Wednesday - Complete pg. 288 #11-20, #22-23 and pg. 302 #10-15, #19-20.

Frosh Geometry - We completed the Ch. 4 Test in class today. No HW for Wednesday.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We finished our Ch. 4 Test in class and began our discussion of Sec. 4.3, focusing on transformational matrices. HW for Tuesday - Read Sec. 4.3 and complete pg 266 #17-23.

College Algebra - We discussed Sec. 4.8, focusing on non-linear polynomial regressions. HW for Tuesday - Read Sec. 4.8 and complete pg 262 #8-14.

Frosh Geometry - We concluded our preparations for tomorrow's Ch. 4 Test. HW for Tuesday - Prepare for the Ch. 4 Test, including completion of the review worksheet distributed in class today. Be sure to look over the sections covering two-column proofs and congruent triangles.
