8:00 Geometry -

12:00 / 1:00 Geometry - We used several 3-D figures to investigate Sec. 10.4, focusing on the the formulas for finding the lateral area of right prisms/cylinders and the total surface area of any prism/cylinder.  HW for Tuesday - Complete the calculations worksheet that we worked on in class today.  Additionally, complete pg. 684  #2-9.

8:00 Geometry- Today we took a quiz covering 10.1-10.3

9:00 Algebra 2/Trig-Today in class we discussed adding and subtracting rational expressions. HW practice the problems on pg 588-589 #2-4, 17-30.

Retakes.  The scores are entered in skyward.  If you would like to take a retake stop by the math office and pick up you original test as well as a copy of the retake.

8:00 Geometry-Today in class we discussed the different parts of a three dimensional figures as well as Euler's Formula.  We began discussing the Pythagorean theorem which we will finish tomorrow.  HW for Thursday page 674 #2-7, 16-20

Algebra 2/Trig-  Today the juniors were finishing up their standardized testing and the sophomores were given the opportunity to finish the the graphing quizzes in class.  HW for Thursday- Be prepared to talk about variation.

8:00 Geometry - Today in class we finished up our discussion of changing dimensions proportionally, and then discussed geometric probability as well. HW for Friday-page 633 #1-15 odd.

12:00 / 1:00 Geometry - We incorporated our knowledge of area into a discussion of probability (Sec. 9.6). We used this sketch to assist in this discussion. HW for Friday - Complete pgs 626-627 #15-21, #25, #30-32.

Algebra 2 / Trig - Today in class we began our discussion of graphing the reciprocal trigonometric functions starting with sine and cosine. HW for Friday- look at and try the problems on the worksheet from class to be prepared to discuss them in class tomorrow.

8:00 Geometry - Today we investigated the areas of graphs as figures were dilated. Homework for Thursday-Finish #11 on your packet and start to look at page 625 #9-21 odd.

12:00 /1:00 Geometry - We continued our discussion of area, focusing on the effects that changing dimensions of a figure have on the area of the figure (Sec. 9.5). HW for Thursday - Complete the problems from the textbook that were assigned on Tuesday.

Algebra 2 /Trig - Today in class we discussed the packet from yesterdays class focusing on transforming the sine and cosine functions. We began our discussion of the tangent function. HW for Thursday-Finish the worksheet from class.

Geometry - We continued our discussion of finding areas in the coordinate plane (Sec. 9.4) and took a quick quiz covering this material. We then began our discussion of Sec. 9.5, focusing on the effects of a dilation on the perimeter and area of a figure. HW for Wednesday - Complete pg 625 - 626 #1-7, #13-14, and #22.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our discussion of the graph for the sine and cosine functions (Sec. 14.1). HW for Wednesday - Complete the worksheet packet that was distributed in class today.

8:00 Geometry- Look at this sketch for class today. Today in class we discussed how to find the area and perimeter of shapes in the coordinate plane. HW for Tuesday- page 620 #1-11 odd

12:00 / 1:00 Geometry - We discussed alternate methods for finding the area of figures in the coordinate plane (Sec. 9.4), focusing on the area addition postulate, "rectangulation", and Pick's Formula. HW for Tuesday - Open this sketch and find the area for each of the five figures provided. Check each answer using an alternative method for finding the area.

Algebra 2/Trig- Look at this sketch for class today. Today in class we looked at the graphs of the sine and cosine functions. HW for Tuesday- page 995 #13-23 odd.

8:00 Geometry- We continued our discussion of basic area formulas (Sec. 9.1), focusing on squares, rectangles, triangles, and parallelograms. HW for Wednesday - Complete pgs.593 - 594 #1-5, #11-16, and #23-28.

12:00/1:00 Geometry- Today we finished our discussion of 9.1 talking about areas of kites and trapezoids. We will look at a GSP sketch to make conjectures about the equations for the areas. HW for Wednesday- Finish the worksheet that was handed out in class.

Algebra 2/Trig- Today we reviewed the the worksheet covering the law of sines and law of cosines and began our review for the chapter 13 test on Thursday. HW for Wednesday- Work on the the chapter review on page 976 and come prepared to ask questions.
