Geometry - In the 7:00 and 8:00 sessions, we spent the hour completing the Ch. 3 Test and investigating the concepts of ratio and proportion.  In the 12:00 and 2:00 sessions, we spent the class period discussion these same concepts (Sec. 7.1).

HW for Monday: In the 7:00, 8:00, and 12:00 classes, complete the 7.1 Worksheet that was distributed in class today.  Additionally - in the textbook - complete pgs. 457 - 458 #1-6, #8-11, #14-15, #20-30 (even), #31-33.

For the 2:00 class, complete pgs. 457-458 #1-2, #17, #19, #22-30 (even)

College Algebra - We worked on the Ch. 3 Quest in class today.  Many students did not complete the assessment in the shortened period.  Students will be allotted additional time during class on Monday.

Geometry - We competed our in-class review of Ch. 3 in preparation for tomorrow's summative assessment.

No HW for Thrusday, other than to continue preparing fr the Ch.  Test.

Assessment Alert - We will complete the Ch. 3 Test (summative assessment) in class TOMORROW, Thursday, October 27.  The Test will cover material in Sec. 3.1 - 3.6.


College Algebra - We extended our discussion of quadratics to include inequalities (Sec. 3.3).  We explored the relationship between the graph of a quadratic function and the solution to the corresponding quadratic inequality.

HW for Thursday - In the textbook, complete pgs. 185 - 187  #105-111(odd) and #117-121 (odd).

Geometry - We began our preparation for the Ch. 3 Test, working on a review test in class.

HW for Wednesday - Complete the Ch. 2 Practice Test, available on MyMathLab unitl 9:00 am tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.  You are allowed 3 attempts at this practice assessment and can earn extra credit points toward your Ch. 2 Test score based on your performance.

Assessment Alert - We will complete the Ch. 2 Test in class on Wednesday, October 12.  This summative assessment will be conducted in the traditional paper/pencil fashion.
