Geometry - We continued our discussion of arc of a circle (Sec. 11.2).

HW for Friday - In the textbook, complete pgs 760 - 762  #1-14, #17-18, #33-35, and #37-38.

Notes:  Students have until the end of the day TODAY to complete the Ch. 10 Test!!!!!

Wednesday, April 29

Geometry - We continued our discussion of Sec. 11.1, focusing on secants, tangents, and circles.

HW for Thursday - In the textbook, complete pgs. 751 - 754  #1, #4-7, #26-27, #31, #38-40.

Note #1:  Students were afforded additional time to work on their Ch. 10 Test.  These summative assessments must be completed by the end of the day on THURSDAY, April 30.

Note #2:  We will once again employ the "Do your HW, get some help" policy in Ch. 11.  That is, if a student completes all HW assignments in Ch. 11 PRIOR to that specific assessment, he/she will be allowed to use a note sheet (provided by Mr. Sondgeroth) on that assessment.

Tuesday, April 28

Geometry - We worked on the Ch. 10 Test in class today.  Students will be afforded an additional 20-30 minutes in class tomorrow to complete the assessment AFTER a brief lesson.

HW for Wednesday - Complete Section 6 form the worksheet packet that was distributed in class yesterday.

Monday, April 27

Geometry - We began our discussion of Ch. 11, reviewing our prior knowledge relating to circles and beginning our discussion of chords (Sec. 11.1).

HW for WEDNESDAY - Complete Section 6 in the worksheet packet that was distributed in class today.

Notes:  We will complete the Ch. 10 Test in class on TUESDAY, April 28.  Additionally, Mr. Sondgeroth will host a review session after school TODAY - Monday, April 27 - from 2:15 - 3:45 in Rm. 216.

Friday, April 24

Geometry - We continued our review for the Ch. 10 Test.  No new HW for Monday.

Notes:  Due to Mr. Sondgeroth's absence on Friday, we will postpone the Ch. 10 Test until TUESDAY, April 28.  Additionally, Mr. Sondgeroth will host a review session after school on Monday, April 27 from 2:15 - 3:45 in Rm. 216.

Thursday, April 23

Geometry - We began our review for the Ch. 10 Test, which has been delayed until Monday, April 27.

HW for Friday - In the textbook, complete pgs. 730 - 733  #3-8, #11-16, #19-21, #23-24, #26-32, #35-39, #42.

Note:  "Let's Make a Deal" for the Ch. 10 Test ... If a student completes ALL HW assignments between now and Monday, I will provide them with a formula sheet to use on the test.  Students who do NOT complete the HW will NOT be allowed to use this sheet to complete their assessment.

Wednesday, April 22

Geometry - We completed our Sec. 10.4 - 10.7 Quiz in class today.  Additionally, we applied our new understanding of volume to problems involving DENSITY.

Tuesday, April 21

Geometry - We began our quiz covering Sec. 10.4 - 10.7, using the area and volume formulas for prisms, cylinders, pyramids, and cones.  Since many of the students did not complete the assessment today, they will be given time at the start of the hour on Wednesday to complete their assessment.

HW for Wednesday - Same as was assigned on Monday ... In the textbook, complete pgs. pgs. 718 - 719  #1-9, #11-12, #24-26, and #28.

Monday, April 20

Geometry - We discussed the formulas for finding surface area and volume of a sphere (10.8).

HW for TUESDAY - In the textbook, complete pg. 725  #1-14.  This assignment will be a good review of the types of questions you will see on TOMORROW's quiz covering Sec. 104 - 10.7.

HW for Wednesday - In the textbook, complete pgs. pgs. 718 - 719  #1-9, #11-12, #24-26, and #28.

Friday, April 17

Geometry - We introduced the formula for the volume of a pyramid and cone (Sec. 10.7).
