Thursday, October 6

Geometry - We continued our discussion of logical statements, focusing on the ties between syllogisms and Venn Diagrams. HW for Tuesday - Complete Venn Diagrams worksheet that was distributed in class today. The 12:00 and 1:00 classes should also complete the Syllogisms worksheet that was distributed in class today.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We completed a quiz over Sec. 2.7 - 2.9 in class today. HW for Tuesday - Complete pg. 170 #1-25 and pg. 171 #1-6.

Note: We will test Ch. 2 next Thursday, Oct. 13.

Wednesday, October 5

Geometry - We continued our discussion in Sec. 2.2 today, focusing on the inverse and contrapositive of a conditional statement and the completion of valid syllogisms. HW for Thursday - In addition to the HW that was assigned on Tuesday (pgs. 85 #14-17, #19-20, #24-29, and #32-35), you should complete #12 on pg. 85.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our discussion of absolute value functions, focusing on translation of the graph of y =|x| (Sec. 2.9). HW for Thursday - Complete pg. 165 #5-16.

Note: We will take a quiz in class on Tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 6) covering Sec. 2.7 - 2.9.

Tuesday, October 4

Geometry - We continued our discussion of Sec. 2.2, focusing on converse and biconditional statements. HW for Wednesday - Complete the worksheet distributed in class. In the 12:00 and 1:00 classes, it will be collected before the end of the hour. In the 8:00 class, it will be collected at the start of the hour on Wednesday. For all classes, the worksheet will be graded and a score wil be posted on Skyward. Additionally, you should complete pgs. 85 #14-17, #19-20, #24-29, and #32-35.

Algebra 2 / Trig -We continued our discussion of absolute value, focusing on graphing absolute value functions and using these graphs to solve absolute value equations and inequalities (Sec. 2.9). HW for Wednesday - Complete pgs 161 - 163 #1-8, #20-23, #28-29, #33-38.

Monday, October 3

Geometry - We introduced Sec. 2.2, focusing on conditional statements. HW for Tuesday - Complete pg. 77 #11-15, #17-20 (Sec. 2.1) and pg. 84 #3-11 (Sec. 2.2).

Algebra 2 / Trig - We discussed Sec. 2.8, focuing on methods for solving absolute value equations and inequalities. HW for Tuesday - Complete pg. 146 #1-4 (Sec. 2.7) and pgs. 154 - 156 #3-6, #9-13, #44-45, #47-50, and #55-60.
