Geometry - We continued our discussion of of congruent triangles, focusing on alternative methods for proving two triangles congruent (Sec. 4.4 - 4.5).

Wednesday, January 21

Geometry - We began our discussion of Ch. 4. today, focusing on the definition of congruent triangles (Sec. 4.3).

HW for Wednesday - Complete pgs 234 236  #1-11, #13-19, #23-24, and #31-34.

Notes:  Mr. Vrana is now teaching the 7:00 and 8:00 sections of Geometry.  He will be in charge of these classes for approximately the next 2 1/2 months.  His contact info is posted in the left-hand column of this blog.

Geometry - We completed the Ch. 12 summative assessment in class today.

HW for Tuesday - Students were assigned two packets:

1)  Extra Credit packet involving transformations, specifically looking at alternative ways to define translations

2)  HW packet involving tessellations, culminating with an attempt at creating an Escher-like work of art

Thursday, January 15

Geometry - We concluded our review of Sec. 12.4 and 12.5.

No HW for Friday, other than to prepare for tomorrow's summative assessment covering Sec. 12.1 - 12.5.

Wednesday, January 14

Geometry - We began ou review of Ch. 12, focusing on reflections (12.1), translations (12.2) and rotations (12.3).

HW for Thursday - Complete the HW packets that were distributed in class today.

Note:  We will complete a summative assessment in class on Friday covering Sec. 12.1 - 12.5.
