Geometry - We began our review of Ch. 4. HW for Friday - Complete pg. 286 - 287 #19-20 and #28-30 and pg. 288 #1-13 and #15-16.

Note: We will take a quiz covering Sec. 4.6 and 4.8 in class on Friday and the Chapter 4 Test in class on Tuesday.

Algebra 2 / Trig - HW for Friday - Complete pgs. 345 - 348 #1-3, #6-8, #11-19 (odd), #42-46, #51-55 (odd), #65-66, and #73-77.

Wednesday, November 30

In class, we concluded our discussion of Sec. 4.8, proving the HL Thm for congruent Right Triangles and discussing the relationship between the angles and sides of isosceles and equilateral triangles. HW for Thursday - Complete pgs. 276 - 279 #2-11, #22-26, #28-29, #42-43, and #45.

Algebra 2 / Trig -We continued our discussion of ways to solve quadratic equations, focusing on completing the square (Sec. 5.4). No HW for Thursday.

Note: We will take a quiz on Friday covering Sec. 5.1 - 5.4.

Tuesday, November 29

Geometry - We continued our discussion of triangles, reviewing and proving properties of isosceles and equilateral triangles (Sec. 4.8). No HW for Wednesday.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our discussion of quadratic functions, focusing on various methods (graphing, factoring, completing the square) that can be used to solve quadratic equations (Sec. 5.3 and 5.4). HW for Wednesday - Complete pgs 338 #4-13 and #15-17.

Monday, November 28

Geometry - We continued our discussion of proofs involving congruent triangles, focusing on CPCTC (Sec. 4.6). HW for Tuesday - Complete pgs. 263 - 264 #4, #7-11, #17-20, and #24-27.

Tuesday, November 22

Geometry - We completed a quiz covering Sec. 4.4 - 4.5 in class today. No HW over the Thanksgiving Break!

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our discussion of Sec. 5.1, clarifying the similarities/differences in vertical vs horizontal stretches and compressions. No HW over the Thanksgiving Break!

Monday, November 21

Geometry - We continued our discussion of congruent triangles, reviewing several several proofs employing the congruence postulates (SSS, SAS, AAS). We will take a quiz on Tuesday, November 21, covering Sec. 4.3-4.5. No HW for Tuesday, other than to prepare for the quiz.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We began our discussion of Sec. 5.1, focusing on transformation of the graphs of quadratic functions (parabolas). HW for Tuesday - Rework the book problems that were assigned on Friday of last week. Be prepared for a quick quiz covering Sec. 5.1!
