Group Final Grades

Group Final grades have been posted.  These scores account for 25% of the Semester 1 Exam grade (5% of your overall grades).

I am working on individual final now.  Grades should be posted by Monday.

Reminder ... we are having issues with the software package that we use to calculate grades (TeacherEase).  Therefore, do NOT assume that your semester grade is correct until verified by me!!!!!

Grading Issues

Geometry - We are having some issues with the new TeacherEase Grading System.  It appears that for many of our classes, it is not calculating grades in exactly the way the teachers desired.

I am reluctant to post final grades until these issues have been rectified.  Even if I do post the exam results, do NOT trust any semester grade that may appear in TeacherEase until I confirm that the system is functioning properly.

My apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Geometry - We completed our group final and spent the remainder of the hour working on note sheets to be used for the individual portion of the final exam.

No HW for Thursday/Friday, other than to continue preparing for the individual portion of the final exam.

Tuesday, December 16

Geometry - We continued working on our group finals.  Groups will be given an additional 30 minutes at the start of class on Wednesday to complete the group final.

Monday, December 15

Geometry - We spent the hour working on the Semester 1 Group Final.  It must e completed by the end of class on Tuesday, December 16.

HW for Tuesday - Continue preparing for both the group and individual finals.  Students may use their notes and textbook during class on Tuesday to help them complete the group final.

Notes:  Mr. Sondgeroth will host review session from 3:00 - 4:00 in Rm. 216 as follows ...
- Tuesday, December 16 - Review Ch,. 1, 2, and 3
- Wednesday, December 17 - Review Ch. 4 (1st 2 sections), 5 (2nd 1/2), 7, and 8 (1st 1/2)

Friday,December 12

Geometry - We completed our Ch. 5 / 8 Test in class today.

HW for Monday:

1) Continue preparing for your group and individual exams.  For more information on the format and content of both the group and individual exams, click on the "Geometry Final Exam Info" link on the top of this page.

2)  For the group final, I will allow you to select ONE person to be in your group and I will assign the other 2-3 members of your group.  Each person requesting a person should send me an e-mail at masondg@ilstu.edu with a) your name, b) your class period, and c) the name of the person who has AGREED to work with you.  If I do not receive an e-mail from BOTH people, then I can n ot guarantee that you will be assigned to the same group.  I need to hear from you before 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 14.

Notes:  Mr. Sondgeroth has added a 2nd review session to the schedule next week.  On Tuesday, December 16, from 3-4 in Rm . 216, he will review Ch. 1, 2, and 3.  He will review Ch. 5, 7, and 8 as previously scheduled on Wednesday, December 17.

Thursday, December 11

Geometry - We completed our discussion in preparation for tomorrow's test covering Ch. 5 (Sec. 5.5 - 5.8) and Ch. 8 (Sec. 8.2 - 8.4).

HW for Friday - Prepare for tomorrow's test.

Notes:  We will begin our group final exam on Monday, December 15.  Students should identify on partner from their class who is willing to work with them.  I will take those pairs and create groups of 4 to complete the group final exam.  If you do not have a partner, I will create a group fo 3 or 5 including you.
