Geometry - We completed the Ch. 7 (Similarity) Test in class today.

HW for Monday - Complete the Radicals Worksheet that was distributed in class yesterday.


Modern Math - We completed the Ch. 14 Group Test in class today.

Monday, November 23

Geometry - We concluded our review in preparation for the Similarity Test, which we will complete in class TOMORROW!

No HW for Tuesday.  However, the radicals worksheet that was distributed in class today needs to be completed by the start of class on Monday, Nov. 30.

Assessment Alert:  We will complete the Similarity Assessment covering triangles (Sec. 4.1, 4.2, 4.8), dilations (7.6, 12.7) ratio and proportions (7.1), similarity (7.2, 7.3), and properties/applications (7.4, 7.5).


Modern Math - We had a work day today to get caught up on past business.

Friday, November 20

Geometry - We continued our review of Ch. 7 in preparation for next week's test.

Assessment Alert:  The Ch. 7 Test covering similarity has been moved to TUESDAY, November 24.  This summative assessment will cover triangles (4.1, 4.2, 4.8), dilations (7.6, 12.7), similarity (7.1, 7.2, 7.3), and applications (7.4, 7.5).

No HW for Monday, other than to prepare for the test.  To assist in the task, refer to the following:
- Answer key for the Ch. 7 Review Packet that was completed as HW for Friday
- Answer key for the Sec. 7.3 - 7.5 Quiz that was completed on Thursday


Modern Math - We reviewed problems involving Darroch's Method for estimating a population using multiple samples.

Thursday, November 19

Geometry - We completed the 7.3-7.5 Quiz in class today and began our preparations for the Ch. 7 summative assessment.

HW for Friday - Complete the Ch. 7 review packet that was distributed in class today.

Modern Math - We completed the Ch. 14 online test in class today.

Wednesday, November 18

Geometry - We began our Sec. 7.3-7.5 quiz in class today.  Students will be afforded additional time at the start of class tomorrow to complete this semi-summative assessment.

Modern Math - We completed our review of Ch. 14 in preparation for tomorrow's Ch. 14 online assessment.

Tuesday, November 17

Geometry - We wrapped up our discussion of applications of similar figures, review Sec. 7.4 and 7.5.

HW for Wednesday - Complete the worksheet that was distributed in class today.  Additionally, complete pg. 479  #13-15,  pg. 492  #24-29, and pg. 503  #1-3, #8.

Assessment Alert - We will complete a quiz covering Sec. 7.3 (proving triangles similar), Sec. 7.4 (proportionality theorems) and Sec. 7.5 (perimeter/area of similar figures) in class TOMORROW - Wednesday, November 18.


Modern Math - We concluded our investigation of Sec. 14.3.

Monday, November 16

Geometry - We continued our use of similarity to create new conjectures, investigating the relationship between the perimeters and areas of similar figures (Sec. 7.5).

HW for Tuesday - Complete the worksheet packet that was distributed in class after today's quick quiz.


Modern Math - We continued our investigation of cause and effect in sampling (Sec. 14.3).

HW for Tuesday - Complete the Sec. 14.3 HW that was distributed in class today.
