Using either the hard copy or online version of your textbook, explore the section entitled “Textbook Introduction.”
Focus on the following topics in this section:
- Contents in Brief
- Author Biographies
- Who Uses Mathematics?
- Why Learn Mathematics?
- How to Study Geometry
- Tools of Geometry
- Focus on Problem Solving
After you have read through all of these topics, complete the page entitled “Scavenger Hunt.”
Come to class on Thursday prepared to submit your answers (write them on a piece of paper) to the Scavenger Hunt and to discuss the material presented on the other pages.
