Algebra 2 / Trig - We completed our Chapter 4 Test in class today. No HW for Monday. Note: Since several students did not complete the test in the allotted time, EVERYONE will be allowed an additional 15 minutes at the start of Monday's class period to complete/review Part 2 of the Ch. 4 Test.

College Algebra - Students completed the Sec. 4.6 - 4.7 Quiz in class today. HW for Monday - Read Sec. 4.8 and complete the worksheet distributed in class.

Frosh Geometry - Students spent the hour completing a Ch. 4 Practice Test. HW for Monday - Complete the practice test distributed in class.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We began reviewing for Wednesday's Chapter 4 Test. HW for Tuesday - Complete pgs 298-300 #4-10, #13-16, #18, #24-26, #29-31 odd, #36, #38-40, #44-45, #47-48, #50-51.

Note: Students should be prepared to discuss/perform the following on Wednesday's test:
* complete by hand: perform basic operations (add, subtract, multiply) using matrices, calculate determinant and inverse of a 2x2 matrix, solve 2x2 and 3x3 systems (substitution, elimination)
* complete w/ graphing calculator: perform basic operations (multiply) using matrices, calculate determinant and inverse of 3x3 matrix, solve 2x2 and 3x3 systems (matrix equations, Cramer's Rule, augmented matrix and reduced row-echelon form)

College Algebra - We will cover Sec. 4.4, focusing on the Rational Root Theorem and the Location Principle to help us determine the roots of a polynomial. HW for Monday - Complete pgs 240-241 #12-13, #18-22, and #32.

Frosh Geometry - We will discuss Sec. 4.5 and 4.6, using congruent triangles to complete proofs. HW for Monday - Complete pgs. 256-258 #4-8, #11-17, and #22 and pgs. 262-263 #3-4, #8-9, and #11.

Thursday, November 18

Algebra 2 / Trig - We will review Sec. 4.1 - 4.5 in preparation for tomorrow's quiz. HW for Friday - Complete pgs. 298 - 301 #4, #6, #7 (Sec. 4.1), #13-15, #18 (Sec. 4.2), #24-26, #29-30 (Sec. 4.4), #38-39, #43-44 (Sec. 4.5).

HW for Tuesday - Complete pgs 198-200 #29, #32034, #36-40, #42-43, #44-46, #49-53, #55. Please note that this HW assignment is optional. However, if you do complete the assignment, then I will allow you to use your notes on your quiz tomorrow.
