12:00/1:00 - Mr. Sondgeroth reviewed Sec. 3.1 and 3.2 and began Sec. 3.3. HW for Thursday - Complete the worksheet distributed in class. This worksheet will be collected at the start of the hour and will be graded. There is no book assignment for Thursday.

Any student who wishes to retake the Ch. 2 Test in Alg 2 / Trig will be able to do so in class on Monday, October 31. Please spend time between now and then reviewing old tests and quizzes and reviewing materials from your text.

Geometry -
8:00 - Ms. Schumacher continued our discussion of parallel lines, focusing on the different ways to prove that two lines are parallel (Sec. 3.3). HW for Wednesday - Complete pg 167 #22 and #24-35.

12:00/1:00 - We took a quiz over Sec. 2.5 - 2.7 in class today. HW for Wednesday - Read Sec. 3.1 and watch appropriate video lessons from the section. Additionally, complete pgs. 149 - 151 #14-17 and #43 - 48. If you have extra time, you should begin reading Sec. 3.2 and watching the associated lesson videos. We will discuss Section 3.2 and Sec. 3.3 in class on Wednesday.

Algebra 2 / Trig - Ms. Kickert began our discussion of matrices, focusing on the creation of and basic operations associated with matrices (Sec. 3.5). HW for Wednesday - Read Sec. 3.5 and complete pg. 250 #12-21 and #29.

12:00/1:00 - Mr. Sondgeroth began our discussion of Ch. 3, focusing on the angles formed when two lines are cut by a transversal (Sec. 3.1). HW for Tuesday - Complete gs 149 - 150 #18 - 25 and #35-40. Additionally, students should be prepared to take a quiz over Sec. 2.5 - 2.7 in class on Tuesday.

Geometry - In the 8:00 class, Ms. Schumacher, one of our ISU student assistants, taught today's lesson (Sec. 3.1). She focused on parallel lines/planes and the types of angles formed by a transversal. HW for Monday - pg. 148 - 150 #14-26, # 44-48, and #60-62.

In the 12:00 and 1:00 classes, Mr. Sondgeroth continued our discussion of geometric proofs. HW for Monday - Complete pg. 132 - 133 #36-42 and #44-48 and pg. 134 #23.

Geometry - We continued our discussion of conditional statements, reviewing biconditionals (Sec. 2.4). HW for Thursday - Complete the worksheet distributed in class. In addition, read Sec. 2.4 and complete pgs. 99 - 101 #11-14, #16-18, #24-25, #28-29, #38-#42.

Note: We will take a quiz on Friday, October 14, covering Sec. 2.1 - 2.4.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our preparation for Friday's test over Ch. 2 by working in small groups during class to complete practice tests. HW for Thursday - Those students in class today should submit the multiple choice portion of the practice test before leaving class. Those not in class today should complete it as part of their HW for Thursday and submit it at the start of the hour. The multiple choice portion will be graded and extra credit will be assigned. All students should complete the show your work portion of the test as HW for Thursday. This will serve as the basis for our review in class on Thursday.

Note: We will take the Chapter 2 Test in class on Friday, October 14.

Geometry - We continued our discussion of logical statements, focusing on decutive reasoning and the Laws of Detachment and Syllogism (Sec. 2.3). HW for Wednesday - Complete pgs. 91 - 93 #1-5, #8-13, #15-18, #23-27.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We began our preparation for the Chapter 2 Test which we will complete this Friday, October 14. We reviewed the Sec. 2.7 - 2.9 quiz. Any student wishing to retake this quiz can do so in class tomorrow. We had no HW for Wednesday.

Algebra 2 / Trig - We continued our discussion of absolute value functions, focusing on translation of the graph of y =|x| (Sec. 2.9). HW for Thursday - Complete pg. 165 #5-16.
