Geometry - We continued our introduction to two-column proofs, reviewing how to "prove" the solution to a simple linear equation (Sec. 2.5) and introducing the proper format for a formal, geometric two-column proof (Sec. 2.6).

Note: Ch. 1 Test scores are posted on TeacherEase. In class today, all students were instructed to log into their TeacherEase account and verify their grades. If students have questions on any part of their grade, they should bring it to my attention immediately.
Students may retake the Ch. 1 Test, as long as they meet the following criteria:
- their Daily Work Ch. 1 grade is 80% or higher
- they contact me via e-mail (masondg@ilstu.edu) to create a relearning plan for the week.
All Ch. 1 Test retakes need to be completed by the end 4:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 19.

Geometry - We completed our review of Ch. 1 in preparation for tomorrow's summative assessment / test. In a couple of the classes, we had time to begin our discussion of Sec. 2.1.
HW for Friday - No HW per se ... Prepare for tomorrow's Ch. 1 Test.
HW for Monday - Complete the Sec. 2.1 - Reteach worksheet.
Note: We will take the Ch. 1 Test in class on Friday, September 12. All make-ups of the Ch. 1 Test must be completed by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, unless other arrangements have been made with Mr. Sondgeroth. Any student not completing the Ch. 1 Test by the agreed upon date/time will be assigned a 2-hour Saturday School detention on Saturday, September 20, during which time they will complete the missing assessment.

Geometry - We completed our discussion of Sec. 1.6, reviewing the procedures for calculating the coordinates for the midpoint of a segment and finding the distance between two points in the coordinate plane.
HW for Thursday - We don't have a specific HW assignment for Thursday. Students were encouraged to review Sec. 1.3 - 1.4 in preparation for tomorrow's discussion over those sections. We will work from this worksheet in class tomorrow.
