Geometry - We discussed Sec. 7.6, focusing on dilations in the coordinate plane.  HW for Monday - Read Sec. 7.6 and complete pgs. 498 - 500  #1-2, #4-5, #8-9, #15-19 (odd), and #21-24.

Friday, February 8

Geometry - We continued our discussion of the applications of similarity, focusing on the relationships between the perimeters and areas of similar figures (7.5).  HW for Monday - Complete pgs. 491 - 493  #1-12, #18-26, #37-42.

Note: We will take a quiz covering Sec. 7.4-7.6 on Tuesday, February 12.

Modern Math -We continued our introduction to statistics (Ch. 13).  HW for Monday -Complete #17-26 in the Ch. 8 HW section.

Thursday, February 7

Geometry - We continued our discussion of similarity, focusing on relationships that can be proven using similar triangles (5.4, 7.4).  HW for Friday - Complete pgs. 324 - 325  #11-23 and pgs. 484 - 485  #1-9 and #12-21.

Modern Math - We continued our discussion of Ch. 13.  HW for Friday - Complete #1 - 15 (odd) in the Ch. 13 HW section.

Wednesday, February 6

Geometry - We completed a quiz covering Sec. 7.1 - 7.3 in class today.  HW for Thursday - Complete the packets covering Sec. 5.4 and 7.4 that were distributed in class today.

Modern Math - We concluded our reading and background preparation for Ch. 13.  No HW for Thursday.

Tuesday, February 5

Geometry - We continued our discussion of similar triangles, focusing on the midsegment of a triangle (5.4).  HW for Wednesday - Complete pg. 479  #1-15.

Note:  We will have a quiz TOMORROW covering Sec. 7.1-7.3.

Modern Math - We began our discussion of Unit 4, focusing on an introduction to statistics (Ch. 13).  HW for Wednesday - Read Ch. 13, taking notes and creating a list of terms that you do not fully understand.

Friday, February 1

Geometry - We discussed the ways to prove that two triangles are similar (7.3).  HW for Monday - Complete pgs. 474-477  #1-7, #10, #19-22, #26-27 and #34-37.

Note:  In class on Monday, be prepared to show your HW from both Sec. 7.2 and Sec. 7.3.  Additionally, be prepared for a quick quiz covering Sec. 7.2.

Modern Math - We completed our in class review in preparation for Monday's Ch. 8 Test.  HW for Monday - Complete the following tasks:
1)  Go to the online version for the 6th edition of this text.
2)  Select Chapter 8.
3)  Complete Quiz #1 and Quiz #2 online.
4)  Submit your answers to me via e-mail at SGrothfam@aol.com.
